Today, according to webmaster tools, I rank "almost" on the first page of Google for SEO Agency Dayton Ohio. This blog is a Walk-Your-Talk example of how to fix that!
How an SEO Agency in Dayton Ohio ranks for "SEO Agency in Dayton Ohio" on Google.
We help each of our clients establish and use Google accounts to determine SEO strategy all the time. One of the most overlooked AND most useful is Google Webmaster tools. We use Webmaster Tools to pick off keywords that need a boost. In my case: "SEO Agency Dayton Ohio" showed up according to webmaster tools as a second page result.
A physical search of the same term: SEO Agency Dayton Ohio shows that we are 12th organically and 2nd in maps. You can't win them all right?
Well, it doesn't hurt to try! This blog is an attempt at moving that term to the first page. Here's the plan:
- Discovery: Find the keyword you want to rank for (we use Webmaster Tools a lot)
- Create a blog using the keyword. Notice the blog title of this blog.
- Link to the blog from your home page using the same keyword: that tells Google you have a page in your site about the keyword your trying to rank for.
- Use On-page SEO best practices: Page Title, Metatags, Image Alt-Text, H1 Header tags etc. Honestly people overthink this strategy but it doesn't hurt to be aware of the parameters that Google looks for.
TODAY'S DATE: July 23, 2017 - Organic Rank = 12th

UPDATE: 2/15/18 - 50Bubbles ranks 1st in MAPS and 1st Organically for "SEO Agency Dayton OHIO" and we have been here now for quite some time. Blogging is a very sustainable way to rank!
