Update: I visited here the Friday before mothers day. Speed was 3 Mbps. That is sufficient for most stuff (don't plan on watching a movie) like email and web access to sites. 

First is the actual physical test I ran. 2nd was the lack of the usual morning coffee crowd I'm used to seeing at places like this. I don't think I'm the first to discover that Panera is not for Wifi anymore!

Using speedtest.net, download speed was 0.26. Upload speed was double that. To make sure it wasn't my connection, I switched over to my phone hotspot.

Now, this is as much a testimonial for Verizon as for anything. My Verizon hotspot via my Samsung Galaxy S5 delivers an internet speed faster than my RoadRunner Cable does at home!

So, bottom line. Panera is good for Coffee, bagels and conversation. If you're lucky you might be able to pull down your email. If you have any browsing planned beyond that, grab a coffee to go and try one of the neighboring wifi locations or use your phone.
